Community Quilt Exhibit
June 4 - 9, 2011

The Art Center's Richard Low Evans gallery will be arrayed in colorful fabric, woven with care, skill and artistic flare. Come out and celebrate our heritage with the age-old artistic craft of quilting. Don't miss one of the most unforgettable exhibits of the year. Exhibit open during regular business hours; Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday's from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Starlight Music In The Mountains Festival
June 17 - 19, 2011

The event will include an Awesome line-up of Musicians who will perform throughout the festival for your enjoyment. We are also excited to be able to include in our weekend events, a Mountain Bike Race on Saturday June 18 at 9:00 am. The race starts at 9:00 AM. First 50 cyclists to register get a FREE T-shirt. Special Prizes will be given to the top female and the top male.

4th of July Fireworks Celebration - July 2, 2011

Come out to the Blue Ridge Lake Marina to celebrate the 4th of July. Watch the Fireworks over the lake and enjoy good food and music with friends and family. There will be a Barbeque and live music from 4 PM to 6 PM and the Fireworks will begin a dusk. Bring your lawn chairs or just spread a blanket on the ground, but don't miss this spectacular event.

Little Shop of Horrors
July 8 - July 31, 2011

Flower shop employee, Seymour, finds an unusual Venus fly-trap plant, and soon learns that when he feeds the plant blood, it grows at an astounding rate. This makes him and his boss wealthy and helps him win the love of voluptuous fellow employee Audrey. Little Shop of Horrors is a rock musical written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, who later did the songs for Disney's Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and most of Aladdin. Rated PG-13 (mature subject matter and language)

Kiwanis Rodeo
August 19 - August 20, 2011

The Annual Kiwanis Rodeo starts at 8:00 p.m. on August 19. This Western Rodeo event with Bull riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing & special events is fun for the whole family. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets: $10.00 in advance, $12.00 at the Gate, Children 8 and under free with paying adult.
